Featuring the top two seeds of the Conference, this year’s Western Conference Finals is sure to be a great one. Led by MVP-finalist James Harden, the Rockets split the first two games of the series, which were in Houston. The defending champion Warriors now look to take full control as the series shifts to the Bay Area.

It is common knowledge that a playoff series does not truly start until the home team loses; the Boston Celtics are looking to rewrite that narrative. By thoroughly dominating the first two contests of this series, the Celtics have placed themselves in a phenomenal position. The Cavs hope to build upon LeBron James’ 40-point triple-double performance from game two and scrape together a win at home in game three.

Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals have broken their curse. By defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the Caps locked themselves into the final four of the Stanley Cup Playoff. Their opponent is none other than the Tampa Bay Lightning, who won the Presidents’ Trophy for their stellar play in the regular season. Home ice has not yet mattered; all three games have ended with the road team coming out on top.

Vegas Golden Knights (1) vs. Winnipeg Jets (2)

Vegas leads 2-1

With both teams appearing in their first Western Conference Finals, experience is not on the side of either franchise. As an expansion team, the Vegas Golden Knights have defied all odds and stand two games shy of reaching the Stanley Cup Final in their franchise’s first year. The Jets dropped games two and three in this series, but they will look to turn things around on Vegas’ home ice in game four.
