Fired Up Pottery and Art provides a variety of services. First, they provide a self-serving pottery shop. There is a variety of bisqueware items that customers can choose from to glaze, including bowls, mugs, plates, animal figurines, salt and pepper shakers, planters, Christmas decorations and much more. The customer is able to pick a piece that best interests them and then glaze that piece to their liking. Second, Fired Up Pottery and Art provides a variety of art classes. Whether in a group or a private lesson, Fired Up Pottery and Art can tailor those classes to their customers’ needs. Examples of classes include drawing, painting, wheel throwing, felting, mosaic and much more. Third, Fired Up Pottery and Art offers parties and provides a space for those to gather and celebrate no matter what the occasion. The staff works to provide a memorable experience for that special occasion and customize that party experience to the customers’ needs.


Fired Up Pottery and Art provides an upbeat atmosphere for all ages and of any artistic level. Staff members are very helpful and gladly go out of their way to make sure each customer enjoys their experience. Each staff member has his or her own art background, whether drawing and painting or sculpting objects out of clay and other various materials. This allows them to help customers create their best pieces. The staff genuinely care and want the customer to succeed at the artistic task at hand. Christ is at the center of the business, which is evident in the atmosphere of the store and within each staff member. That is an aspect that owner Dawn Katzer strives to exhibit every time a customer walks through the door.


While creating a wholesome atmosphere, Fired Up Pottery and Art provides high quality products. Katzer takes the time to carefully order in merchandise that she thinks her customers would most enjoy. If a customer has a personal preference of product, Katzer will order in that product specifically for that customer. Katzer wants customers to be able to have the freedom to create what interests them. This adds to the value of the experience at Fired Up Pottery and Art. The staff care about their customers and want them to enjoy what they are doing while in the shop.
