Southwest Baptist University News Release Contact: Charlotte Marsch, Director of Marketing and Communications (417) 328-1803 / cmarsch@sbuniv.edu SBU announces Homecoming queen and king candidates for 2019  BOLIVAR, Mo. — Southwest Baptist University students have nominated five seniors as candidates for Homecoming Queen and five candidates for Homecoming King. These candidates have been selected by their peers, and the winning King and Queen will be announced at the Homecoming football game at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19. Queen candidates Molly Liggett is a biology major from New Haven. She is the daughter of Sue and Bruce Liggett. After graduation, she plans to marry Sam Jones and attend physical therapy school at SBU in the fall of 2020. Sydney Vogel is a social work major, with a minor in counseling, from Jefferson City. She is the daughter of Dana Medley-Vogel and Gary Vogel. After graduation, she plans to earn a master’s degree in social work, pass her license exam and do therapy. She wants to work with human trafficking victims and refugees. Taylor Dufur is a social work and Christian studies major from Independence, Kan. She is the daughter of Marla and David Dufur. After graduation, she plans to pursue a master’s degree in social work and work with children and youth who struggle with mental illness. Laura Manuel is a sports medicine major from Blue Springs. She is the daughter of Marla and Scott Manuel. After graduation, she plans to pursue a doctorate degree in physical therapy at SBU. Marrah Delmont is a computer and information science major from Halfway. She is the daughter of Nancy and Rodney Delmont ’97. After graduation, she plans to work for a tech company as a business analyst. King candidates William Raines is a marketing major from Marshall. He is the son of Mary Beth and John Raines. After graduation, he plans to continue his education by going to flight school and pursue a career in aviation. Jordan Martin is an international business and Christian studies major from Blue Springs. He is the son of Annette and Paul Martin. After graduation, he hopes to work for a company with international headquarters that will allow him to fulfill his passion for multi-cultural diversity. He also would like to open an event-planning business that focuses on bringing unique international experiences to transform events. Baylee Robinson is a social work major from Independence, Kan. He is the son of Sarah and Ryan Robinson. After graduation, he plans to pursue a master’s degree in social work. Aaron Canfield is an exercise science major from Tulsa, Okla. He is the son of Carolyn and Byron Canfield. After graduation, he plans to attend physical therapy school at SBU. Brett Wilbanks is a business management major from West Plains. He is the son of Christy Hoover and Todd Wilbanks. After graduation, he plans to purchase commercial land and farm. In addition, princesses and princes for the freshman, sophomore and junior classes have been chosen by their peers. Princesses Alexa Fredrick is a freshman exercise science major from Willow Springs. She is the daughter of Kim and Derek Fredrick. Kensi Hogan is a sophomore nursing major from Nevada. She is the daughter of Tonya and Jeff Hogan. Mollie Davis is a junior business management major from Marshfield. She is the daughter of Jill and Doug Davis. Princes Elland Morris is a freshman criminal justice major from Lebanon, Ill. He is the son of Karen and Matt Morris. Callen Dye is a sophomore cybersecurity major from Blue Springs. He is the son of Mindy and Rod Dye. Jacob Banks is a junior discipleship ministry major from Branson. He is the son of Tracy and Lucas Banks.
