1. French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife visited Washington DC and spent several days with President Donald Trump and First Lady Ivanka. They planted a tree on the lawn of the White House, visited Mount Vernon, enjoyed the first State Dinner hosted by the Trump Presidency. President Macron also addressed the United States Congress. The visit provided a full week for the presidential family and strengthened US - French relations, according to CNN.


2. The world's oldest women died April 21, 2018. Nabi Tajima, was the last survivor of the 19th century and lived to the age of 117. According to USA Today, “She was born on Aug. 4, 1900, in Araki, then known as Wan Village, in Kikaijima Island. She raised seven sons and two daughters, and as of 2017 had more than 160 descendants, including great-great-great-grandchildren, according to the Gerontology Research Group.”



3. Thousands of British subjects who came to Great Britain from the Caribbean to help rebuild after World War II are currently being labeled as illegal immigrants. Some are being detained and several are being told to "go back home" to a country they have never known. Approximately 50,000 to 500,000 people are affected and currently fighting the government to keep their citizenship, according to the New York Times. An entire generation of Britons who helped rebuild a war-torn country feel abandoned. The heartache is leading to outcry.
